Kam River Fighting Walleye 2, Trenton Golden Hawks 1 (OT)
- Daxton Lang (White City, SK) scored the game-winning goal for Kam River with 30.6 seconds remaining in overtime.
- Ashton Sadauskas (Parksville, BC) turned aside 25 shots for the Fighting Walleye.
- Cooper Matthews (Belleville, ON) scored the lone goal for Trenton.
Rockland Nationals 9, Braves de Valleyfield 4
- Rémi Gagné (Saint-Jérôme, QC), Anthony Hall (Sherbrooke, QC) and Gabriel Le Houillier (Lorraine, QC) tallied four points each for Rockland.
- James Swan (Saint-Laurent, QC) led the Braves with a hat trick.
- Rockland was 3-for-5 on the power play and outshot Valleyfield 45-18.
Greater Sudbury Cubs 6, Grande Prairie Storm 2
- Daks Klinkhammer (Ajax, ON) registered two goals and an assist for the Cubs.
- Lincoln Moore (Sault Ste. Marie, ON) chipped in with a pair of goals for Greater Sudbury.
- Colin Doherty (Sherwood Park, AB) and Chayse Laurie (Las Vegas, NV) finished with two points apiece for Grande Prairie.

I just think these guys here have faced a lot of adversity during the season and even in the playoffs having played six games in overtime. That experience helps us, but three-on-three is a bit different. I was really impressed with how we were composed with the puck and those two kids (Mintenko and Lang) have been our leaders all season. I’m so happy for them; they’ve earned it, they deserve it and have worked hard for it. Nothing is given and they’ve sacrificed a lot for the hockey team and I’m really proud of them.”

“We stayed level-headed today compared to our first game last year (a 10-2 loss to Collingwood). Whether we were up or they came back and tied the hockey game, we just stayed the course and playing a Game 7 in order to get here helped out in that. Props to our leadership group, our coaching staff or anyone else on the bench, they didn’t allow anyone to get too high or too low and last year’s experience had a lot to do with that.”

« Il y a beaucoup d’émotions une fois en prolongation. Les gars que nous avons ici ont fait face à beaucoup d’adversité pendant la saison, et même en séries éliminatoires, où six matchs sont allés en prolongation. Cette expérience nous aide, mais c’est un peu différent à 3 contre 3. J’ai été vraiment impressionné par notre calme avec la rondelle, et Mintenko et Lang ont été nos meneurs toute la saison. Je suis tellement content pour eux; ils l’ont mérité, ils ont travaillé fort pour ça. Rien n’est donné, ils ont fait beaucoup de sacrifices pour notre équipe de hockey, et je suis vraiment fier d’eux. »

« Je pense que, lors de chaque match en séries éliminatoires, nous avons d’abord tiré de l’arrière, donc nous sommes très calmes et confiants en jouant de cette manière, et au bout du compte, nous avons demandé aux joueurs d’être plus compétitifs pour ce match. Hier, nous n’avons pas respecté le tournoi et l’esprit de compétition qu’il faut pour disputer un championnat national. C’était notre mot d’ordre aujourd’hui les uns envers les autres, et nous avons répondu à l’appel. »

« Nous avons su garder la tête froide aujourd’hui comparativement à notre premier match l’année dernière [une défaite de 10-2 contre Collingwood]. Peu importe si nous étions en avance ou si nos adversaires créaient l’égalité, nous avons continué de suivre notre plan de match. Le fait d’avoir eu à disputer un septième match de séries éliminatoires pour nous rendre ici nous a aidés à ce niveau. Chapeau à notre groupe de meneurs, au personnel entraîneur et à tout le monde au banc, tout le monde a conservé son sang-froid, et notre expérience de l’an dernier y est pour beaucoup. »
