« Il faut donner beaucoup de crédit à Edmundston, l’équipe a amorcé le match à fond de train, et je ne pense pas que notre groupe s’attendait à ça, mais nous nous sommes adaptés au fil de la rencontre. J’ai trouvé notre deuxième période meilleure que la première et j’ai aussi aimé notre troisième période. Malheureusement, ils ont trompé la vigilance de notre infériorité numérique, mais les gars ont persévéré, ont joué de la bonne manière, ont su rester concentrés et ont trouvé un moyen d’arriver à nos fins. »

« Nous étions un peu endormis au début, mais une fois recentrés sur le match, nous avons pu mieux exécuter et toucher la cible à quelques reprises. Plus le match avançait, plus notre équipe trouvait des façons de faire de beaux jeux. Nous ne voulons pas accorder autant de buts, mais nous avons certainement aimé notre propre production offensive. Il faudra faire attention aux revirements et à la gestion de la rondelle, parce que nous avons concédé trop de surnombres défensivement. Ces matchs peuvent être un peu étranges par moments, donc nous allons accepter le résultat d’aujourd’hui, mais il faudra faire beaucoup mieux en défensive demain. »

« On met beaucoup l’accent sur la ténacité. Peu importe si on mène ou si on perd, on ne veut jamais ralentir le rythme. On n’a pas joué à la hauteur de notre talent dans le premier match [une défaite de 5-4 en prolongation contre Trenton], mais on s’est servi de cet échec comme motivation pour le match d’aujourd’hui. On veut toujours viser plus haut. Que ça aille bien ou mal, on garde la tête haute et on ne se décourage pas. »
