Chairman’s Message

Welcome:

During the past two years, the global COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in unparalleled hardships difficulties in many areas, including within the confines of the Canadian Junior Hockey League.

With the ongoing efforts of our nine member leagues, 117 teams and well over 2,500 players, we, along with the multitude of dedicated management, coaching, training, equipment and officiating staffs, look to safely return to play and have a highly competitive 2021-22 season.

Together with our partners, Hockey Canada and the National Hockey League, we offer our many thanks and extend our deepest gratitude to all of our federal, provincial, and municipal health authorities and front-line workers for their continued endeavours in each region across the CJHL.

Myself, along with my fellow member-league commissioners and presidents will continue to work diligently with all associated parties on a viable plan to return to the ice, when it is completely safe to do so for all of our players, officials, team personnel, families and fans.

We look forward to the resumption of on-ice competition throughout all nine leagues and such events as the CJHL Prospects Game, our regional championship events and the 2022 Centennial Cup, presented by Tim Hortons, May 20-29, hosted by the Estevan Bruins (SJHL).

Thank you for your ongoing support and continued interest in the Canadian Junior Hockey League.

Respectfully yours,

Robert Mazzuca
Chairman of the Board
