TORONTO – Collège Français de Longueuil (LHJAAAQ) remains No. 1 for another week in the latest installment of the Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL) Top 20 Rankings – Fuelled by Gatorade, announced Monday.
Off to a 13-0-0-0 start in Quebec AAA Junior Hockey League action, Longueuil continues to be decisive at both ends of the ice, having notched a LHJAAAQ-best 83 goals-for, while having only allowed 18 against, which also leads the way there.
Riding an 11-game heater, the Collingwood Blues (OJHL) are hitting all the right notes in Ontario Junior Hockey League play as they move up to No. 2 overall.
Sporting a solid 17-1-0-0 mark, Collingwood hasn’t tasted defeat in nearly a month while having supplied a CJHL-high 111 goals-scored.
Tabbed No. 3 in the listings, which are compiled by an independent scouting service, are the Virden Oil Capitals (MJHL).
Virden currently tops the 13-team Manitoba Junior Hockey League table with a record of 10-1-0-0.
Coming in at No. 4 nationally, is another OJHL side, the Milton Menace.
At 13-2-1-0 so far on the campaign, Milton has been solid right from the start of the season.
Slotted in at No. 5 sit the Valley Wildcats (MJHL).
The Wildcats have won six consecutive Maritime Junior Hockey League contests, with Jesse MacLean’s side having gone 12-2-0-1 to date.
