CALGARY, Alta. – The Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL) announced Friday that forwards Thomas Cusson (Hawkesbury Hawks/CCHL), Tyler Fukakusa (Toronto Jr. Canadiens/OJHL) and Kevin Anderson (Notre Dame Hounds/SJHL) have been named its Gongshow Gear 3 Stars of the Month for February.
1ST STAR: THOMAS CUSSON, (F) HAWKESBURY HAWKS (CCHL) – Averaging over two points-per-game for Hawkesbury in February, Cusson collected 25 in 11 match-ups as he notched a dozen markers and helped set-up 13 others along the way.
Among his contributions were a pair of game-winning goals and five that came via the man advantage.
The 20-year-old, who hails from Cowansville, Que., etched his name on the game sheet in all 11 contests he appeared in during the month.
Cusson also recorded eight multi-point efforts as well during the period after having his CJHL playing rights acquired by Hawkesbury from the Brooks Bandits (AJHL).

2nd STAR: TYLER FUKAKUSA, (F) TORONTO JR. CANADIENS (OJHL) – Racking up an OJHL-best 27 points, in just 13 games in February, his efforts also earned him OJHL Warrior South-East Conference Player-of-the-Month laurels as well.
While Fukakusa found the back of the net eight times, featuring three game-winners, he also helped set-up 19 others along the way.
Included in his numbers were 10 multi-point affairs that was highlighted with a five-point performance on Feb. 3 for the recently committed recruit to the RIT Tigers in Rochester, N.Y., who play out of the NCAA Division I Atlantic Hockey conference.
In his first year in the OJHL, the 19-year-old from Toronto is currently riding a 12-game point streak while sitting third overall in league scoring with 72 points, featuring a league-high 55 assists.

3rd STAR: KEVIN ANDERSON, (F) NOTRE DAME HOUNDS (SJHL) – The 18-year-old Regina, Sask., product piled up 20 points last month in 14 outings for Notre Dame.
In all, Anderson scored seven times, including a game-winner, and dished out 13 assists during the time frame, helping the Hounds secure a playoff berth.
He’ll enter play this evening third in SJHL offensive production with 27 tallies and 48 helpers to his credit for a total of 75 points in 56 games played.
Anderson earlier committed to Princeton University (ECAC) on NCAA Division I scholarship where he will attend school and skate for the Tigers men’s hockey program.
