CALGARY, Alta. – The Canadian Junior Hockey League announced Thursday that goaltender Isaac Labelle (Waywayseecappo Wolverines, MJHL) along with defenceman Marc-Èric Bourque (Titan de Princeville) and forward Colton Trumbla (St. Michael’s Buzzers, OJHL) have been named its Gongshow Gear 3 Stars of the Month for February.

1ST STAR: ISAAC LABELLE, (G) WAYWAYSEECAPPO WOLVERINES (MJHL) – The busiest of all MJHL netminders this season with nearly 2,900 minutes played, Labelle was instrumental in the Wolverines posting a 41-point improvement in 2018-19 over the 2017-18 campaign and helped Waywayseecappo secure a playoff berth in Manitoba. … The MJHL’s Goaltender of the Month for February registered eight wins, including a pair of shutouts, for the month while recording a solid 1.90 goals-against average along with a stingy .945 save percentage. … LaBelle’s outstanding season is even more inspiring when you consider his brother, Xavier, was a member of the Humboldt Broncos and was one of those team members who survived the horrific events on April 6 of last year.
