Battlefords (SJHL) enter February still No. 1 in CJHL rankings

TORONTO – The Battlefords North Stars (SJHL) have entered February still No. 1 in the latest Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL) Top 20 Rankings, announced Monday.

Battlefords has played .900 hockey so far this season in Saskatchewan while sporting a solid 39-3-2-1 record under head coach and general manager Braydon Klimosko.

Remaining No. 2 nationally are the Cobras de Terrebonne (LHJAAAQ).

Terrebonne continues to top the table in Quebec with a mark of 33-4-0-0.

Moving to No. 3 in the 118-team CJHL in the weekly listings, which are compiled by an independent scouting service, are the Brooks Bandits (AJHL).

The reigning Centennial Cup champions have gone 44-5-1-1 to date and have a 10-point cushion in the quest for the AJHL’s regular season title.

Then there are the OJHL’s Toronto Jr. Canadiens and Collingwood Blues who are slotted No. 4 and No. 5 respectively this week.

Toronto has a record of 37-4-1-2 while Collingwood is right behind them at 37-6-0-1 overall.
