MHL job posting: President

The Maritime Junior Hockey League (MHL) is seeking a President to lead the league into the 2023-24 hockey season. This direction will drive the league forward by embracing development, innovation, and advancement.

The MHL’s 12 teams are in communities throughout the Maritime Provinces. The league is one of 10 member leagues of the Canadian Junior Hockey League and operates under the umbrella of Hockey Canada. The President will work closely with each franchise to ensure the implementation and success of the new direction.

Reporting to the Chairman of the Board of Governors, the President will be responsible for the overall management and leadership of the league. Within that, the President will be responsible for developing strategic partnerships, creating new revenue streams, managing key stakeholder relationships, and providing financial oversight. The President will look for innovative ways to ensure the league and its players are positioned for success on and off the ice. The President will also oversee a high functioning hockey operations team.

The MHL is looking for a President who is a forward-thinking self-starter to present the league as a viable option to partners, community members and players.
