Final NHL Central Scouting’s draft rankings sees six CJHLers tabbed

TORONTO – National Hockey League Central Scouting released its final rankings for the 2024 NHL Draft Tuesday and six Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL) players were tabbed.

Topping the list is St. Michael’s Buzzers (OJHL) centre Jonathan Morello, who was slotted in the fourth round, 98th overall, among North American skaters.

Also ranked in the fourth round was Morello’s St. Michael’s/OJHL teammate, defenceman David Green at 122nd overall.

Then there was Humboldt Broncos (SJHL) right wing Matthew Van Blairicom. He was tabbed in the fifth round, 139th overall.

A pair of sixth round nods went to blueliners Jason Davenport (Leamington Flyers/OJHL) and Easton Hewson (Calgary Canucks/AJHL), as they came in at 171st and 183rd respectively.

Meanwhile, Leamington Flyers (OJHL) netminder Sebastian Gatto was ranked 16th among North American goaltenders.
