Trainer and Equipment Manager

The Estevan Bruins are in search of a Trainer and Equipment Manager for the upcoming 2024-2025 season. The position has the individual working directly with the Estevan Bruins Operations staff and players. Responsibilities include:

  • Keep accurate records of all injuries, treatments and the rehabilitation schedule.
  • Reports all injuries to the Head Coach/General Manager.
  • Administer or arrange the therapy needs of all of the team members. Keep accurate records of all treatments.
  • Determine the requirements for physiotherapy needs, equipment and supplies for the team.
  • Control and distribute all therapy equipment and consumables.
  • Work cooperatively with the Coaches, and Board of Directors and accepts duties as assigned by the General Manager.
  • Familiar with skate sharpening equipment. Perform skate sharpening duties.
  • Control, distribute and maintain inventory of all medical supplies and consumables.
  • Ensure the dressing room is properly organized and assist co-ordination of cleaning daily.
  • Meet visiting team’s needs on game days.
  • Co-ordinate the loading and unloading of bus for all road trips with the team’s Coaching Staff.
  • Co-ordinate the ordering of medical supplies and consumables with the Head Coach/GM
  • Be present on the bench and administers to all the players first aid needs during practice and games.
  • Co-ordinate first responders’ policy and protocol for emergency situations.
  • Be available for all off-ice sessions.
  • Co-ordinate and complete daily laundry duties.
  • Co-ordinate the maintenance and distribution of team equipment with the Head Coach/GM.
  • Ensure equipment is repaired or replaced as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

    • Design, implement and track fitness and weight training regiments for players

Game Day Host and Events Manager

The Estevan Bruins are in search of an In-Game Host to reside over our upcoming seasons home games. The position is a part time paid position, working in tandem with our Operations and Marketing Director along with Bruins Operation staff. Responsibilities include:

  • Manage front-end positions (50/50, security, admissions volunteer positions). This also includes guiding our hosted: o Anthem Singers
    • 7th Skater
    • Ice Team
  • Coordinate with Sponsorship and Marketing Directors to ensure signage, posters, and promotional materials are present for game day
  • Coordinate with Sponsorship and Marketing Directors on Game Day Title sponsors
  • Create Game Day Script highlighting timelines for teams, officials, staff, city employees, and volunteers
  • Host in game and intermission events, announcements, and contests
  • Assist with creation of video content during games
  • Support Marketing Director on pre and post game production shows
