TORONTO – A number of Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL) clubs have been on a roll as of late, in presently boasting winning streaks.
As of December 7, there are 10 CJHL sides, who are currently riding runs of five victories, or more, in succession.
Topping that list are a trio of teams that are sitting in double digits in terms of consecutive triumphs.
Leading that group are the Brooks Bandits (AJHL).
The defending Centennial Cup champions have reeled off 18 straight wins, while also having gone 27-0-0-1 in their previous 28 outings.
Another surging side are le Cobras de Terrbonne (LHJAAQ).
They have run-off 11 victories in as many games and are playing .920 hockey to lead the way in the 13-team LHJAAAQ.
Then there are the Edmundston Blizzard (MHL).
Under first-year coach Simon Olivier, the Blizzard have won 10 in a row, while being clutch when needed, as three decisions in overtime during their streak would indicate.
Here are the 10 CJHL teams who currently have winning streak of five games, or higher, as of Dec. 7:
TEAM | LEAGUE | WINNING STREAK |
Brooks Bandits | AJHL | 18 |
Cobra de Terrebonne | LHJAAAQ | 11 |
