CJHL netminders standing tall between the pipes

Devon Levi of the Carleton Place Canadians (CCHL) leads the way in goalsagainst average

CALGARY, Alta. Goaltenders across the Canadian Junior Hockey League continue to do the job in net in backstopping their respective clubs to on-ice success.

Topping all goalkeepers in the 131-team CJHL in terms of goals-against average in Devon Levi of the Carleton Place Canadians (CCHL).

Among those who have seen a minimum of 1,000 minutes of game action, Levi sports a CJHL-best 1.44 GAA to lead the country.

The World Junior A Challenge Most Valuable Player, who helped lead Team Canada East to a silver medal last month in Dawson Creek, B.C., also competed in the recently held CJHL Prospects Game in Hamilton, Ont., as a member of Team East.

Five other netminders also presently boast an average under 2.00.

They are Vance Meyer (Timmins Rock-NOJHL) 1.53; Clay Stevenson (Coquitlam Express-BCHL) 1.75; Tyler Masternak (Timmins Rock-NOJHL) 1.75; Jordan Naylor (Nanaimo Clippers-BCHL) 1.97 and Brendan Bonello (Pickering Panthers-OJHL) 1.97.

The following is the list of the CJHL goalkeepers that sport a goals-against average of 2.50, or less, and have seen at least 1,000 minutes of game action:
