Ayden Dooley (Orillia, Ont.), Spencer Young (Elmira, Ont.) and Cam Garvey (Oakville, Ont.) scored for Collingwood.
Owen Sclisizzi (Milton, Ont.) recorded a pair of assists.
Noah Pak (Oakville, Ont.) made 36 saves for the victory.
Brooks Bandits 5 Ottawa Jr. Senators 1
Aiden Fink (Calgary, Alta.) had a goal and two assists, leading the Bandits to their second straight victory.
Hudson Malinoski (Saskatoon, Sask.) chipped in with a goal and an assist.
Ethan Barwick (St. Albert, Alta.) made 25 saves for the win.
Portage Terriers 12 Kam River Fighting Walleye 2
Rory Neill (Winnipeg, Man.) and Austin Peters (Winnipeg, Man.) posted a goal and three assists each as the Terriers moved to 2-0.
Ryan Botterill (Portage la Prairie, Man.) scored two goals.
The Terriers set a new Centennial Cup record for most goals in a game.

“We started slow, our first 12 minutes were unacceptable. We regrouped after the first and I thought we came out ready to play in the second. There is some history here going back to last year and you could feel the intensity for sure. This was important for us; we have a day off tomorrow and we can relax a bit and rest up now.”
Malinoski on rebounding from the slow start.
“Wow! I don’t think the boys in the room knew that stat. It’s pretty neat to be honest, to have your name in the record book, but at the end of the day it doesn’t matter if we don’t keep winning. We came here to do a job and we’re just one step closer to that here tonight.”

« On savait qu’il n’y aurait pas de matchs faciles à ce tournoi, ce sont les meilleures équipes au Canada qui sont ici. Notre groupe était prêt, comme le montrent les deux rencontres disputées. On est compétitifs chaque soir, et j’aime notre effort jusqu’à présent. J’ai trouvé qu’on avait de la hargne aujourd’hui, on attaquait vague après vague et on a fini par trouver le moyen de l’emporter. »
Dooley sur le niveau de jeu au tournoi à ce jour
« On a connu un lent départ, notre jeu pendant les 12 premières minutes était inacceptable. On s’est regroupés après la première période, et j’ai trouvé qu’on a amorcé la deuxième période du bon pied. On a un historique contre cet adversaire qui date de l’an passé, ça a paru dans l’intensité du match. C’était important pour nous, on a congé demain, donc on peut relaxer un peu et se reposer. »
Malinoski sur son équipe qui a su se ressaisir après un lent départ
« Wow! Je ne suis pas sûr que les gars dans le vestiaire étaient au courant de cette statistique. C’est assez génial, honnêtement, d’inscrire notre nom dans le livre des records, mais en fin de compte, ça ne voudra rien dire si on ne continue pas d’enchaîner les victoires. On est venus ici avec une mission en tête, et on a fait un pas de plus vers l’avant ce soir. »
