“I think the biggest advantage we have over everyone here is our experience and that showed tonight. We were in a similar situation vs Pickering in the final last year, actually down a goal though and we stayed calm and got the job done. It’s kind of the same feeling on the bench, we’ve been here before and we know how to overcome it.”

“Sometimes you just need a bounce to go your way to get some confidence. Once we got the first one the guys got going. Portage didn’t have much left in the tank, and we wanted to jump on them early and we were able to do that. We’re excited about the result, but we aren’t done yet.”

« Je crois que ce qui nous distingue, c’est l’expérience, et on a pu le voir aujourd’hui. On s’était retrouvés dans une situation semblable l’an dernier en finale contre Pickering. En fait, on tirait de l’arrière par un but, mais on avait su garder notre calme et l’emporter. C’est un sentiment assez similaire sur le banc. On est déjà passés par là et on sait ce que ça prend pour aller chercher la victoire. »

« Parfois, il suffit d’un bond favorable pour que la confiance s’installe. Le premier but nous a donné de l’élan. Il y avait de la fatigue accumulée dans leur camp, c’est certain. Nous voulions exercer de la pression tôt dans la rencontre, et c’est ce que nous avons fait. Nous sommes heureux du résultat de ce soir, mais ce n’est pas fini. »
