Whether it was getting caught up in the moment or the layoff I’m not sure, but we had a chance to get right back to it within 24 hours. I thought it started to come back together halfway through the game today and obviously, happy with the outcome. I think now the the guys are starting to understand what it’s going to take to win this if we’re going to have a chance.”

Je pense qu’on a voulu trop en faire initialement. Au premier entracte, on s’est assis, on s’est regroupés et on a beaucoup mieux joué par la suite. »

« On a parlé du match d’hier [une défaite de 8-3 contre Toronto] et, comme équipe, on a convenu de simplement oublier ce résultat et de passer à autre chose. Je ne sais pas pourquoi on a connu ce genre de match sur le plan mental, on a fait des erreurs que je n’ai pas vu nos joueurs commettre de toute l’année. J’ignore si on n’a pas su être à la hauteur du moment ou si on était rouillés, mais on avait la chance de se reprendre dans les 24 heures suivantes. J’ai trouvé qu’on a retrouvé nos repères à mi-chemin de la rencontre aujourd’hui et, évidemment, je suis content du résultat. Je pense que les gars commencent à comprendre ce que ça va prendre si on veut se donner une chance de gagner. »
