14 CJHL players named to NHL Central Scouting’s mid-term rankings

CALGARY, Alta. – National Hockey League Central Scouting released Monday its mid-term rankings as a prelude to the upcoming 2020 NHL Draft in Montreal and 14 current Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL) skaters and goaltenders are among those ranked.

Topping the list of CJHL players is Sherwood Park Crusaders (AJHL) forward Carter Savoie, who was slotted 52nd among North American skaters.

He is followed by Sherwood Park defenceman Michael Benning, who was tabbed 60th.

Two CJHL goaltenders were also recognized as Devon Levi of the Carleton Place Canadians (CCHL) was ranked 17th among North American netminders while Jackson Glassford of the Alberni Valley Bulldogs (BCHL) earned the 22nd placing in that category.

Of the 14 names on the Central Scouting mid-term rankings, 13 of them are set to compete in the 15th annual CJHL Prospects Game Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. ET at Dave Andreychuk Mountain Arena in Hamilton, Ont.

Ethan Bowen of the Chilliwack Chiefs (BCHL) was originally named to the Team West roster for the contest, but is unable to play due to an upper body injury.

Tickets for the CJHL Prospects Game will be available at the door on Tuesday and are $15 for adults and $10 for seniors and students.
