Roster change announced for CJHL Prospects Game

Goaltender Reece Proulx (Pembroke, CCHL) added to Team East line-up

CALGARY, Alta. – The Canadian Junior Hockey League, in partnership with the National Hockey League and Hockey Canada, as well as in conjunction with NHL Central Scouting, announced Friday a change to the Team East roster for the CJHL Prospects Game, which goes Tuesday, January 14 at 7 p.m. ET at Dave Andreychuk Mountain Arena in Hamilton, Ont.

Named to the Team East line-up from a list of alternates supplied by NHL Central Scouting, is goaltender Reece Proulx, of the Pembroke Lumber Kings (CCHL).

Proulx replaces Tommy Da Silva who has left his former club, Panthères de St-Jérôme, (LHJAAAQ) to join a team in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.

In his first year with Pembroke, the 17-year-old North Bay, Ont., product leads all CCHL rookie netminders in both goals-against average (2.68) and save percentage (.924).

Those numbers also place him fifth among all CCHL stoppers in average and second-best with his save mark.

He’s also sits third in his league in victories with 17 and is tied for second in shutouts with two.

Tickets for the CJHL Prospects Game, which will be available at the door, are $15 for adults while seniors and students are $10.
