A portion of the proceeds from the online clinic will be contributed to initiatives that support the development of female hockey coaches.
Recognizing the tremendous influence female coaches have on an athlete’s future in the game, earlier this year on International Women’s Day the NHLCA proudly announced a new initiative to help support the development of female hockey coaches across all levels of the game. The NHLCA Female Coaches Development Program aims to support female coaches in several areas including skills development, leadership strategies, communication tactics, networking and career advancement opportunities.
ABOUT THE CLINIC
Every year in conjunction with the NHL DraftTM, the NHLCA and its members host the NHLCA Global Coaches’ Clinic. The clinic aims to educate coaches on the strategies and techniques used at the highest level of hockey while ensuring the information is relevant for all age groups and levels of play, so that every attending coach receives knowledge that is beneficial to their growth as a coach, as well as to his or her players’ development. Unfortunately, as a result of COVID-19, the in-person clinic scheduled on June 25, 2020 in Montreal was cancelled; however, we are excited to have you join us online for the 2020 clinic!
