CALGARY, Alta. – National Hockey League Central Scouting announced their initial Players to Watch List as a prelude to the 2022 NHL Draft and nine Canadian Junior Hockey League skaters have been named.
Topping the CJHL contingent is Okotoks Oilers (AJHL) left winger Rieger Lorenz, who has been tabbed as a ‘B’ player and a potential second or third round draft pick.
The remaining eight are all shown as ‘C’ skaters on the watch list, making them possible fourth, fifth or sixth round choices.
The 2022 NHL Draft is currently scheduled to be held July 7-8 at the Bell Centre in Montreal.
