TORONTO – National Hockey League Central Scouting announced its mid-season draft rankings Tuesday and five from the Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL) are among those tabbed.
Of that list, three are goaltenders.
Topping that CJHL contingent is Trenten Bennett of the Kemptville 73s (CCHL), who was slotted ninth among North American netminders.
Next is Noah Tegelaar, who is member of the Collingwood Blues (OJHL). He is ranked 14th.
Then there is Michael Newlove of the Georgetown Raiders (OJHL), selected 27th in that category.
There were also two CJHL players on the North American skaters list.
They are defenceman Jonathan Kapageridis of the Cobourg Cougars (OJHL) and left wing Shaan Kingwell, a member of the Navan Grads (CCHL).
Kapageridis was ranked 178th overall as a potential six round selection in the 2025 NHL Draft this June, while Kingwell came in at 219th, as a possible seventh round pick.
