CJHL PLAYOFF SPOTLIGHT: League-by-League Finals

CALGARY, Alta. – While it is with heavy hearts that the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League Canalta Cup final between the Nipawin Hawks and Estevan Bruins begins tonight in Nipawin, Sask., they can be assured that the thoughts and well wishes from across the Canadian Junior Hockey League, the entire hockey community, the country and the world are with both clubs, the SJHL and the Humboldt Broncos as they prepare to resume play following last week’s tragic events.

As quoted from the Broncos’ Board of Directors; “The power of healing is in the game.”

Those games have begun or will begin this evening as each of the 10 leagues that comprise the CJHL will commence or continue their respective league championship series.

The BCHL/AJHL winners will then vie for the Doyle Cup, the SJHL/MJHL champions will compete for the ANAVET Cup, the SIJHL, NOJHL and OJHL will square off for the Dudley-Hewitt Cup while the CCHL, LHJAAAQ and MHL will meet for the Fred Page Cup.

From there the four regional champions will join the host Chilliwack Chiefs (BCHL) for the RBC Cup, May 12-20.
