CJHL alumnus Ryan guides Canada to gold at Women’s Worlds

CALGARY, Alta. –
Congratulations to the Canadian National Women’ Team on capturing the gold medal at the 2021 Women’s World Hockey Championship after a thrilling 3-2 overtime triumph over the U.S., in Calgary.

Guiding Canada to the title was their head coach and CJHL alumnus, Troy Ryan.

The Spryfield, N.S., product spent three seasons as a player in the Maritime Hockey League in the early 1990s.

Ryan also stood behind the bench in the MHL for eight campaigns and was a three-time recipient of MHL Coach of the Year honours.
