A 10th CJHLer on NHL Central Scouting Player’s to Watch List

CALGARY, Alta. – There is a 10th Canadian Junior Hockey League player on the National Hockey League Central Scouting Players to Watch List released last week.

He is Markham Royals (OJHL) left winger Johnny Ulicny, who is currently on loan to the New England-based Islanders Hockey Club of the United States Premier Hockey League, with the OJHL not currently playing due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Ulicny was slotted by Central Scouting with a ‘C’ rating as a potential 4th/5th/6th round selection in the 2021 NHL Draft.

In 55 outings with Markham last season, the 18-year-old Tecumseh, Ont., product had 27 points, including 12 tallies. Two of his markers were game-winners.

Among those tabbed are nine players from Canadian Junior Hockey League clubs.

Topping the CJHL contingent is Brooks Bandits defenceman Corson Ceulemens, who earned am ‘A’ rating, as a potential first round selection.
