Thirty Eight MJAHL Players Invited to Identification Camp

HALIFAX, NS, August 23, 2009 - Thirty-eight Maritime Junior A Hockey League (MJAHL) players were invited to Halifax's Civic Arena in the Forum Complex for the third and final evaluation camp for the Team Canada East entry at the World Junior A Challenge which will be held at Credit Union Place in Summerside, PEI in early November.

Former NHL defenceman Todd Gill is the head coach of the squad. Halifax Lions head coach and general manager Troy Ryan is the assistant general manager.

The first two evaluation camps were held in Renfrew, Ont. and in Richmond Hill, Ont. at which players from the CJHL, NOJHL, OJHL and LHJAAAQ were invited.

Those invited to be in Halifax in hopes of earning a spot on Team Canada East for the international junior A hockey tournament included:
